Scorecard Assessment. Residential efficiency scorecard.

So, what is Scorecard?

The national Residential Efficiency Scorecard is an innovative, government-backed program that offers:

  • a star rating for your home, just like your washing machine,

  • a clear pathway to reduce your energy costs and emissions,

  • a framework to make your home more comfortable.

Government-accredited Scorecard Assessors are experts in home energy efficiency. Want to reduce your energy bills, make your home more comfortable, go all-electric or plan a renovation? A Scorecard assessor will help you find the best way forward.

So you can live your energy efficient dream, for less!

The Residential Efficiency Scorecard

Is a nationally recognised energy rating system for existing homes. It helps homeowners identify and prioritise larger efficiency upgrades such as insulation, heating, or air conditioning.

We use the Scorecard software as an evidence-based framework to determine the best ways to keep your home comfortable and energy-efficient all year round.

If you need help deciding where to begin upgrading your home for efficiency or want to know which upgrades are the best bang for your buck, then Scorecard is a great option.

An assessment can help by;

  • Understanding how to improve the hot and cold weather comfort of your home

  • Saving you money in the long term via bill savings

  • Demystifying the energy jargon

  • Helping to develop a plan for your household

  • Providing an audit of your home and adding to your sale price

  • Providing a pathway to Get off Gas

  • Creating a baseline or starting point and an action plan for energy efficient upgrades for your home

Subsidies & Rebates

In South Australia the REPS (Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme) offers households and businesses access to discounted services and products to improve energy efficiency.

All households have access to these discounts or rebates, and your personal circumstance (concession eligibility, rental cost etc) can give you access to greater discounts.

More information about REPS can be found at the ESCOSA website. Please have a look through the links to the right for some of the REPS activity providers we refer too.

We will always consider what REPS, or other rebates you may be eligible for when referring you for services or products after a Scorecard Assessment.

What else is there?

Some local governments, like Adelaide City Council and City of Holdfast Bay offer rebates for energy efficient or environmentally friendly products.

Many local governments in metro Adelaide are also partnering with ShineHub to offer bulk buy solar and battery discounts.

Your bank, or other financial institutions may offer discounted rates for ‘green loans’ - including installing solar and a battery, energy efficient renovations or thermal upgrades.

We can help you with the research!
